SERIOUS SELLER – PRICE SLASHED TO MEET THE MARKET
Crowther Catamarans have gained very loyal followers over the years and for good reason. Extremely practical cruisers with well thought out design features and an eye to sea-going details make them an excellent choice for the buyer seeking a solid, practical and enjoyable cruising platform.
“PHAT Cat” has had many improvements and upgrades for a comfortable and reliable passage making experience. She would make an ideal Live-aboard or Coastal Cruiser or perhaps that once in a lifetime opportunity to realise your Pacific Island adventure on a budget.
Easily handled solo, she has self-tailing winches at the helm, Leisurefurl in boom furling mainsail (battened), furling headsail, autopilot and updated Raymarine electronics, remote anchor winch control and all lines come back to the helm.
A refurbished RIB hangs on stainless steel davits which also support new solar panels. For outdoor catering there is a stainless steel BBQ and ample seating, including a removable cockpit table and handy fold up working area for BBQ tools etc. Inside through the security and screen door you will find a wide and comfortable saloon with dining table, Air-conditioning, TV, Sound system, DVD and 12v plus USB charging point. To starboard is the very well laid out and comprehensively appointed galley with flick-mixer hot and cold water, (plus a pressure seawater tap for water saving rinsing), over double stainless steel sink and long benches with excellent pantry storage. A near new gas oven, grill and hob, regularly used for baking bread is installed as is a Microwave oven, Camec 2-speed Range Hood extractor and all is well lit with LED lighting and excellent views out over the water. Refrigeration is generous with a large double compartment top load fridge and freezer complete with new panels and back up. There is even a plumbed cabinet on the aft deck for a washing machine!
Over in the port hull is a second saloon with comfortable lounge and a TV with DVD and pleasing views out over your anchorage. The head and shower are located forward of this area and is surprisingly spacious, together with a clever extractor activated by the privacy sliding door. Four double berths make up the sleeping accommodation and are fitted with brand new custom made inner spring mattresses. Ventilation throughout the boat is excellent with opening hatches and side windows.
Power is provided via a Yanmar 30HP inboard engine driving through a shaft and Universal Joint to a Robbie Leg which has had all bearings and seals recently replaced. Fuel consumption is frugal at just 1.5 ltr/hr with an average speed around 5 to 6 knots and the boat can turn in its own length. Brand new batteries have been installed and the boat has just been antifouled (Feb 2017).
This is a very surprising package which has features you would normally expect to find on boats three times this price. “PHAT Cat” is well worth the effort to inspect and is located only ½ hour from Brisbane Airport. Someone is going to get a really great cruiser here, could it be you?
