This fabulously presented 2011 Beneteau First 30 is comprehensively equipped and ready to start enjoying straight away. Whether it is fast cruising or serious club racing your interested in, “Sahara” will not disappoint.
Below decks she is fitted out in a light timber finish and creamy upholstery with a functional galley, Nav station and a full width saloon with ample space for four to relax and dine in comfort. The shower and toilet are located aft of the Nav station whilst behind the galley is a large, double berth with hanging locker. The forward V-berth also sports a hanging locker and the saloon table has folding leaves allowing ease of access and there is good storage throughout the boat.
The Oc31 carries her beam well aft making the cockpit extremely spacious for a yacht of her size and the cockpit floor is clear of running gear with the traveller and mainsheet block mounted aft of the tiller. The Starboard lazarette is cavernous as is the storage space on the port side for a liferaft. The owners have fitted additional clutches from original and have been dedicated racer / cruisers having compiled a full and comprehensive sail wardrobe.
Instrumentation includes a GPS / Plotter mounted at the Nav Station, Hydraulic Autopilot plus wind / Speed / Depth mounted on the mast base where they can be easily read. Forward on the deck lies a prodder accompanied by a furler for the Asymmetrical Spinnaker and a pole. A custom roller is mounted on the bow to accommodate the anchor when cruising, designed to avoid damage to the flush bow. When at rest either in the marina or your anchorage she has a custom, full width boom tent to protect the deck and cockpit. Also stashed away for use when required is a fold up dodger. Mast and rigging are just five years old and only 320 hours on the Yanmar 21HP Saildrive mounting a 2 blade folding prop. Antifouled in August 2016 with race prep.
Easily handled by two or with a full crew complement, “Sahara” is a pocket thoroughbred with current IRC Certificate that has been beautifully maintained and much loved. Inspection will not disappoint!
